The schools all around the state of Idaho are preparing for the SAT that will be held on Wednesday April 16, 2014. Students have been studying for weeks, some even months, making sure that they will be getting a high score for their college applications in the future. With the SAT scores starting to appear on job applications students will be trying much harder for their futures depend on it. Mr. Daniel Wendt, the Taylor's Crossing Public Charter School (TCPCS) principal and superintendent, has stood before all of the students taking the SAT or PSAT (practice SAT) and told them the importance of the SAT; even if one doesn’t have any post high-school plans. He has also stated that the SAT is a great test to take to practice for the ACT.

Jill Fabbi, part of the high school staff, has been offering practice SAT papers that students have been able to take over the weekends. They are a full practice of the SAT including ten different sections as if it were the real test and then it gives the answers at the end of the pamphlet which tells the students how well they are prepared for the actual test . IDLA teacher, Jill Fabbi has said that this is one of the best ways to prepare for the SAT and the ACT itself.

The school Taylor's Crossing has also been giving other ways to prepare for the SAT such as: taking the ACT on several occasions, teachers offering their own versions of the test in their classes, and daily SAT/ACT questions asked. In some advisory classes the students have been instructed to go on to an online SAT course and work on it every day during advisory. The teachers have required to take at least five practice quizzes and one full practice test for the SAT. Other teachers have assigned papers and online practice SAT quizzes that help the students get used to what the actual test will be like. These students and teachers have been working hard to get outstanding scores on these tests.
