Turkish civilians were outraged because of. Turkey’s mine disaster Wednesday, with protests complaining about governments slow actions in concern to the mining accident.Death tolls are constantly rising with the fires inside Soma mine, certain groups have announced national strikes and rioters gathered outside the main building of the mine’s owners. There were also angry riots when Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan came to Soma, rioters were throwing rocks at the prime minister's body guards as he went by.
The prime minister was met with disgust as rioters yelled "Resign! Resign!". Ten protesters were taken away from the scene by police.
On Wednesday thousands gathered inin Istanbul's Taksim Square, where riots have taken place since last year, against the construction of a local mall. This led to Turkish police firing tear gas and water cannons to disperse the crowd.
